I think too much…

Although I was very happy to be purchasing my laptop within the next two weeks, I decided it would be a better idea to hold off on it for another month. I’ve got a solid couple of months worth of work lined up so money isn’t an issue, I just think I could spend it on other things that are a bit more important.

I’ll be doing my taxes within the next couple of weeks and I’m almost positive I’ll owe money instead of receive it, so I’m going to be putting all the money aside just for this reason. If I don’t have to pay much, I’ll be purchasing an LCD. The reason for wanting a laptop originally was so I could regain my desk space. I’ve got a HUGE 19″ CRT monitor taking up more then half of the desk, and although I absolutely love my monitor its just too big for me to handle anymore, especially with school. After talking to Joe, I’m going to get this one. It’s a downgrade to a 17″ but it honestly won’t be much different then what I’ve got. A CRT, even a 19″ is only about 18″ of viewable space where as a 17″ LCD is the full 17″ so in reality I’m only losing about an inch of viewing space, and that’s fine with me considering I’m gaining more then half a desk in return and it’ll be a lot easier on my eyes since I won’t be right on top of the monitor anymore.

I’ll also be purchasing a new digital camera, because the one I want is only about $150 and that’s really not such a bad deal considering its 5mpxl. I’ll have to retire my current digital, maybe I’ll just give it to my sister I don’t know. It only works in a well lit room, even though its a 4mpxl. The flash doesn’t work on it so it’s useless at night and that’s when I’d like to take more pictures considering that’s when the most shit seems to happen around here. There’s something about that moon.

When I know for sure what’s going on with the money, I’ll go ahead and purchase those two things. Then I’ll be doing some rearranging in my room. It’s time to update the paint and maybe get rid of the rug (it’s an area rug, not like wall to wall or anything so its easy to remove). I think if I were to just redo my room instead of go out and get a laptop, I could hold off on getting one until the end of the year when I plan to move out of here. I want to paint my desk and dresser so that they match. I’ll paint the walls white and get rid of this damn lavender color and then pull in a rug that’s the same color as the paint on the furniture, which I’m thinking of doing in black. I vacuum twice a week anyway so its not like I’d have to worry about the rug getting too dirty looking anyway, cause I know EVERYTHING shows up on a black rug.

I guess I’ll just have to see what happens when I head to H&R Block next week…huh?

Yeah pretty much H & R block is going to be my best friend next week. I know your position. I’m workign on an LCD now. The fabulousness of LCD is glare doesn’t show up at all so on top of viewing space and space saving you get no glare. Sounds fabulous.

I love color coordinating furniture. Right all the furniture in Sydney’s room is white except the crib that needs to go and she needs a white bed. It’s quite driving me nuts!

I’m still waiting for my w-2 from my last employer in WV. I have a feeling I should be getting back alot of my federal taxes (no thanks to the $13K I paid in tuition!). But, instead of buying some productive like you are, I’m going to blow it on Spring Break I figure lol.

I’m very “budget oriented”, so I know how you’re feeling.

Yeah, mine is 5 mpxl and I got it the day after Thanksgiving for like $90…that was a sweet deal.

That sounds like a good plan, i’m trying to do that with my money too instead of splashing out the minute I get some extra cash! Hope you’re feeling better by the way I think I may be getting another bout of bronchitis myself so I hope at least you’re feeling better!

Ugg. I owed money last year after taxes, it really sucked. This year, with all the money they took out of my paychecks, I better be getting some money. I hope you find out you’ll be getting some too (wouldn’t that be lovely)!

H&R Block… *puke* I do my own taxes, usually I use something online to assist me because quite frankly I’d rather know that what I’m doing is right and not pay someone money for something that really isn’t so hard to do. Of course, a lot of what you’re doing is freelance stuff so I’m sure you’re in a different boat than I would be… Part of my stigma is that my mother’s boyfriend is an accountant (and he’s screwed so many people I don’t know how he’s still one).
