Nursery Rhymes We Didn’t Have As Kids

Normally I don’t like the idea of email forwards. Although I’ve seen this one a few times before, something just felt write about pasting it today heh.

1. Mary had a little pig, she kept it fat and plastered; and when the price of pork went up, she shot the little bastard.

2. MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB Her father shot it dead. Now it goes to school with her, between two hunks of bread.

3. JACK AND JILL Went up the hill to have a little fun. Stupid Jill forgot the pill and now they have a son.

4. SIMPLE SIMON met a Pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the Pie man, “What have you got there?” Said the Pie man unto Simon “Pies, you Dumb Ass”

5. HUMPTY DUMPTY sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the kings’ horses, and all the kings’ men. Had scrambled eggs, for breakfast again.

6. HEY DIDDLE, DIDDLE the cat took a piddle, all over the bedside clock. The little dog laughed to see such fun. Then died of electric shock.

7. GEORGIE PORGY Pudding and Pie. Kissed the girls and made them cry. And when the boys came out to play, he kissed them too ’cause he was gay.

8. There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good. But when she was bad…….. She got a fur coat, jewels, a waterfront condo, and a sports car.

Sunday came and went…

It’s been a pretty uneventful day. I’ve been lounging around with a book and writing up some scholarship essays here and there. I’m working on a new template for acidgloss.net that’s a little bit more graphically advanced. I also need to setup an official ‘database’ for template previews because I’m not really happy with how things are setup now. I have a few pre-made that I need to add to the database anyway, so I’ll be working on that over the course of the next few weeks.

I’m going to be doing quite a bit of editing to the acidgloss.net content too. I’ve been doing some tutoring lately so I’m going to add that to my list of services. I give out coding help all day long for free, so may as well see how far I can go by charging people. I’m not going to be crazy with the pricing though; $5 an hour is pretty reasonable I say.

I’m taking my vacation next week, so that should be fun. I’ll have my laptop with me though so on the down-days I’m sure I’ll be online getting things done. I’ve let Tony know that I’ll be away so if I can’t get into the hosting things he’s going to have to pick up the slack. I doubt he’ll do it considering his inability to commit to things he’s being paid for, but whatever. I’m coming back on the 22nd so I’ll be home for my birthday. The following Sunday (29th) I’m going to the casino with Dad and possibly my aunt, she doesn’t know yet. That following Friday (Nov. 3rd) I’m going to be at my aunts house for a week while she goes to Aruba. So all-in-all it’s going to be a pretty busy end-of-the-month for me. Nothing I can’t handle though. I’ll still be able to work on things either way.

I’m slowly getting the new AGn-Solutions template up and running. It’s taking me a bit longer to customize everything than I thought it would but that’s ok. I’m proud of it, so I’m sure it will be worth it.

For now I’m in the living room and everyone is home. Maureen just got home from work so she’s extra talkative. Dad’s flipping through channels so I can safely say that right now there are three interesting shows on TV but none of them I’ll be able to watch considering I don’t feel like getting up to go to my room. The thing is, I’m the one who got the new TV for the living room because of Freepay and whatnot, but I can honestly say that I have rarely ever watched it. I was watching a movie out here today and finally got to see the HD color quality and damn, it’s some nice shit hehe.

I guess I’ll head off for the night. The boyfriend went to bed and I really have nothing else to do. I have a few comments to return from the last couple of entries so maybe I’ll do those before I completely sign off for the night. At least it’ll give me something to do for twenty minutes.

Night all.

Eat Me!

It’s around midnight here on the island and I have officially hit complete and total boredom. While doing some surfing for blog topic ideas with my typical blog advertising program, I came across a few blogs that basically go out of their way to badmouth PPP.com.

See, I look at it this way:

If you’re someone who puts a lot of work into your blog but will randomly run out of ideas, then what is so wrong with having random topics to post about that you can actually get paid for? PPP is really the only company out there that has a huge database with blog topics to go through. There are a few others out there but you have to wait for them to actually even give you a topic to post. With PPP you can just login, pick something, and blog about it. There’s nothing wrong with it, you’re being paid to advertise a product, program or website which is what a lot of bloggers do anyway.

What the usual “This system is BS” losers are saying is that those involved with PPP are nothing more than spammers. Here’s my take on it:

spam (spm)
n.
Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail.

tr.v. spammed, spam?Ǭ?ming, spams
To send unsolicited e-mail to.
To send (a message) indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups.

There is nothing being sent to anyone, there are no emails going out, and individuals are not submitting their URL to thousands of other websites in order to get their paid post out there. So how exactly are we spamming the weblog community?

I think anyone who isn’t already involved with payperpost.com should either a: Sign up (use krissyville@gmail.com as your referral) and make literally thousands of dollars for yourself (top earner is up to $1700!) or b: shut the hell up about things that you don’t know and simply don’t involve yourself. There’s freedom of speech, fine…but if you make it your lifes effort to go out of your way to be an ass for shockvalue or whatever else is going on in your peabrain then you’re basically useless.

I’ve been paid by this company, every post I’ve made with this company has been accepted and I’m even one of their upcoming featured bloggers because of my loyalty. So basically all I have to say to anyone doubting this program is…well…eat me.

Biz-E!

On Tuesday morning I woke up and was instantly bored out of my mind. My sister wasn’t around all day and by the time I got to the point of wanting to verbally deal with someone my father was on his way out the door for work. I spent the day wandering around the house looking for things to do. I cleaned, I did some cooking, I did some more cleaning and then I wound up in bed with a book. It didn’t really do much for me though.

I took a walk down to the store where my sister’s currently working and bothered her for a little bit. I wandered around the store and then I headed up to Petco with the thought of purchasing a Beta but I decided that it wouldn’t be fun to walk home (in the heat) with a fish tank and a new toy for Bella to bark at excessively because it won’t play with her. So…to keep my spirits up I went and got myself a coloring book. I know you’re sitting there like “WTF Krissy? W T F?” but that’s my way of keeping myself entertained long enough without having to smoke. Lately I’ve cut back quite a bit and that’s because I’ve been keeping my hands busy doing things other than smoking or typing. I’m taking up knitting next, I just need to wait until a gash on my hand clears up first (long story).

On Tuesday night I was on Skype with the boyfriend and then my aunt called. She asked me if I would be interested in going to the Mets game on Wednesday. Now, I’m not a baseball fan because I personally think it’s a useless game with pampered pretty boys but I decided “Hey, free tickets and I get out of the house” so I went. We took the train in, so that was interesting. The ride to Jamaica was ok because we basically sat there the whole time. The train from Jamaica to Woodbury was PACKED SOLID so we wound up standing at the doors, same thing from Woodbury to Shea Stadium. On the way to Shea I met a guy who was already plastered but he was showing off his Mets pride with a shirt and a beer so he was content with life. He didn’t even mind that I stumbled a bit when we went over a rough section, I think he was happy to feel a set of tits on him anyway, mine were extra perky yesterday for some reason LOL. The walk to our seats wasn’t fun but it was worth it. We were on the third baseline, surrounded by fans that were both amusing and offensive and after all of the cheering, clapping, and of course the alcohol, I got into the game. Mets won 6-4 and by the time we changed over all of the trains and then got back on the Oyster Bay line, we got home around 10 last night. All in all I have to say it was a good night. After the game let out I was amused to see FSNY filming in the parking lot. The two reporters were surrounded by a few hundred Mets fans screaming “Yankee’s Suck! Yankee’s Suck!”. I laughed, lit up a cig and went on my merry way.

I got home with a pretty bad headache though, between the screaming, beer and the fact that I had only eaten a slice of bread yesterday (literally) my head was throbbing like holy hell. I would have eaten at the park but I’m completely against ball park food pricing so I avoided the situation entirely. A bottle of water was $4.00, it cost me like $11.75 for a round of beers (mind you they were only the 8-10oz cans btw). So by the time the hot dog guy came around, I decided “No thanks” and my aunt and uncle had theirs, two hot dogs, $15.00…can someone say HIGHWAY ROBBERY!? I understand they’re spending a butt load of money paying the players and building the new stadium (which is why there was no parking and more than half of the stadium took the train) but $7.50 for a Nathans hot dog on some Wonder Bread rolls? Puh-lease!

After a quick phone call to the boyfriend, I knocked out last night around 1:30. My alarm was set for 9:30 this morning because I knew UPS would be here with my camera. Unfortunately UPS wasn’t on their regular schedule. They didn’t show up to my house until about 4:00 and since I was dozing all day but kept waking up every time I heard a truck pull up, I just wasn’t a happy camper. My camera did show up though. It a little bigger than I thought it was going to be, but it’s still a really small camera just the same. Since I was so beat today I didn’t really take many pictures. I do have two to share though.

#1 – This is the cam itself: View Image #1, View Image #2

#2 – This is a quick snap shot of the packaging, note that no flash was used: View Image

#3 – This is one that I took on the porch outside, obviously the flash was used: View Image

Note that both those pictures are saved a 50% JPG quality but there is absolutely no difference from the original. I’ll have plenty more pictures as time progresses, for now I’m just not in the mood to really do much, I figure four is enough to get the point across heh. I’ll continue to admit that Freepay is a legit company, I still would not recommend them to anyone considering how drastically they’ve gone downhill over the last six months.

I’m sure I’ll have more of a ‘life’ update as the days go on. For now it’s a little after midnight and my heads starting to bother me again so I think it’s time I get myself to sleep…night all!

Boring Monday

Posted on October 2, 2006 @ 2:44 pm by Krissy // Link It

It’s been a fairly interesting couple of days. I don’t know if interesting is in a good way or a bad way, but interesting just the same.

For the past two nights I’ve made the mistake of eating before I went to bed. I don’t eat much during the day so come 3-4 in the morning I’m starving. I’ve been having some really freaky dreams because of it. It’s the same dream two days in a row and either way it makes no damn sense.

There’s this bird-slash-human thing lingering around my window. It’s the size of maybe a 6’2 human but the bottom half is bird legs. It lingers around my window and follows me from room to room, never coming in the house. My only ‘relief’ from it was hiding in the closet with an equally scared boogey man. Then I went on to have some weird dream about Joe that I’m still trying to make sense of and I’m sure I will once I’m able to sit down and think about it.

I spent the bulk of my Sunday working on a few things. I’m still in the process of working on one account and I did a quick greymatter thing last night, either way I’ve got money coming in so it doesn’t matter.

Now for the excellent news!

Freepay FINALLY shipped my camera! It will be here on the 5th and I can’t wait. It’s coming with me on my vacation and it’s also coming with me to the casino. :: giddy :: Considering the weird night I had, I’d like to think that things are starting to look up…heh.

This can only mean that something is going to go terribly wrong because unfortunately that’s just how things are in my world. I guess I’ll know eventually…eh?

Time to head off for a little while, I need to defrag because this thing is lagging like all holy hell lately. It’s my own fault though, I’ve been running Adobe for the last few hours and a few hours a day for the past week so things are just starting to slow down a bit. Once I get my desktop back things should be easier. I’m going to be picking up the HD enclosure soon so I can unload a good 30 gigs of files that’ll definitely help me out…heh.
