Le Busy

It’s been a pretty hectic week. Between house sitting and mounds of work I haven’t had any real time to relax. I’m going home tonight though, so it’ll be nice to crash in my own bed.

I’m still behind on emails but I’m slowly catching up. My spam filter isn’t really deleting what it’s supposed to so I’m going to have to change the preferences and go from there.

Scratch I need to send my laptop out for servicing. I’m gonna do it when I go away with the boyfriend because I don’t really need to have my computer that week since I can use his. The reason for sending it out is because of another monitor issue. This time it was completely my fault and I take full responsibility for it. I dropped my clip board on it and it took off the protective layer. I’ll call it in a few days before I leave. I’ll have it sent out from his house…it’s easier for me. I have my external hard drive so I can still get to my files when I need to…I’m not overly concerned about it at this point.

I’ve been cleaning the house ALL DAY. This place is covered in cat hair and dust and my allergies have been fucked the whole time I’ve been here. It’s all cleaned up now though…about as clean as it can get. I swear if I could afford it I’d replace all the furniture in the house (most of it’s broken in the living room anyway) and then I’d slip cover it for full cat protection. I love this house though, don’t get me wrong. I just always make the mistake of wearing black pants when I’m here and the rest is history.

And speaking of cats…Figgy is making himself very known in regards to wanting to play so I guess I’ll just end this here. I’m heading home tonight after 7, I don’t think I’ll be around until tomorrow afternoon when I’ve settled in and have my laundry done. It’s easier to concentrate that way…you know?

I’ll be spending the next few days with the boyfriend too so who knows what’ll happen with my ‘net time. I can get my clients done while he’s here, that’s the beauty part of dating a computer nerd…he brings his own :heh:

Happy Veterans Day! I already promised Dad he’d get whatever he wants for dinner tomorrow. Lord knows no one else is going to hand him anything. I really just don’t understand why everyone has a Veterans Day sale. It’s not like a new leather couch has ANYTHING to do with War. So I figure since he was in Vietnam, I’ll just throw some steaks on the BBQ heh. That’s about as American as you can get…right? 🙂

Maybe the leather couches were made from Vietnamese cows? You sure are spending a lot of time with your b/f, I’m glad you have someone you enjoy being with.

About spam – get yourself Cactus Spam. It’s a free program that works with most email progs, and you train it to recognise the bad stuff. It’s really good. My husband is an IT engineer and he highly recommends it 🙂

That’s awesome your dad was in Vietnam, I mean not really but you know what I mean. I don’t know anyone who has either been in the service and in an actual war or anything. I’m pretty unpatriotic because of that. Nobody just ever cared that much. Although my husband did get friday off for veterans day since it was sat. So tell your dad Happy Veterans Day:)

Damn right steaks are as american as you can get!

That seriously sucks about your laptop screen. I hope it’s not too much to get it fixed. Is it still under warrenty? Would warrenty even cover that? lol

Have fun spending time with the boyfriend 😉

Ashley – The monitor is under warrenty, thank god. I think it’s just the protective coating and not the screen itself. It’s also accidental damage so that’s always taken care of.

Ranee – He was drafted, spent 3 years over there. He doesn’t talk about it much though. I’m assuming it has quite a bit to do with shell-shock. I do know that he pays very close attention to movies in dedication to Vietnam so something tells me there’s quite a bit going on in his head during it.

Tanya – I’m looking into cactus spam, the one with Zone Alarm Pro is working out pretty well for me, for the time being though.

Sean – Yea, he makes me very happy.

Yum steaks on the bbq sounds perfect right about now! But I agree about the sales, very random.
Lol your lucky your b/f has his own computer, mine doesn’t plus he has no idea how to do things on it, so I have to be there to help! haha.
Have fun on your mini-getaway with your boy! 🙂
