Home but leaving soon…

After a few wonderful weeks spent exclusively with the boyfriend, I’m finally home. This doesn’t mean I’ll be around for long though. I’m leaving again on Thursday because my aunt has invited me to spend three days with her in Atlantic City. I don’t have much money saved up to bring with me but I also have no real intent of doing much damage there anyway.

It was my goal to have maybe $600 to come down with me, this way I can do $200 a day on my usual slot machines and then go from there. I’m only going to have about $350 with me, so I’ll have to break it down to around $115 a day, this isn’t too bad though. I’m sure I’ll be doing more wondering around than gambling.

Based on family history in Atlantic City, all the money is usually won on the last night just before they’re going to get their stuff together to head home. I figure if I can save up the bulk of the money to play exclusively on the last night – maybe I’ll come home with something.

I could bring more money down with me but it would be absurd to take out of my savings account just so I can gamble it away. There are still Christmas gifts to buy – you know?

I did a bit of shopping tonight with my sister, she dragged me out of the house around 7:30 screaming that Dad’s gifts needed to be purchased way in advance. We went to Wal-mart, dropped a quick $120 and the rest is history. We got him quite a bit though, there’s still some things that I’d like to pick up for him…I guess I’ll see what happens after Saturday.

I’m waiting on an email from a client so I can finally be done with their account. I also have two more that I’m waiting on a payment from so hopefully those will be coming in soon. I spent the last 3 days working on accounts. My only issue is a few paid through Escrow with a site I’m involved with so I won’t actually see that money until like…the day before Christmas at the rate of cash-out times with this stupid site. Not a big deal though, it’ll be here soon enough.

When I get home on Sunday I’m going to finally get my ass in gear and finish the new templates for AGn Solutions and AGn Designs because I’ve waited just too damn long to get those up. I have about 300 template screenshots to add to AGn Designs so it’s about time I get my ass in gear on them. I want to be able to have everything launched by January 1st to bring in the new year.

And speaking of New Year’s…I’ll be spending it with the boyfriend and his family. His aunt is having a party and since both her and his mom seem to love me, I get to go. Nifty – eh? I’m sure it’ll be fun, it’s nice spending holiday’s with the one’s you love…that’s all that matters.

On a side note, I was having a conversation with a friend of mine tonight and I have to say I’m a bit annoyed with her husband right now. For their five year wedding anniversary he went ‘out of his way’ to buy her one of those Kay Jewelers 10k white diamond Journey necklaces (the ones they’re advertising on television right now). He got her the one with 7 diamonds to match every year that they’ve been together. This in itself is very sweet, I’ve seen the necklace and think it’s gorgeous – this is coming from someone who’s not overly a fan of necklaces (minus the one the boyfriend gave me for my birthday of course). But anyway…long story short. He goes on to tell her that his gift broke the bank, when the necklace itself is only $99 to begin with. But he claims that he got the one that’s over $1,000 blah, blah, blah.

She’s looking at the Kay Jewelers website and notices that the necklace isn’t the same. She keeps her mouth shut though because the $1,000 he spent showed up on the credit card bill so it’s not like he completely lied about it. She did notice, however, that this $1,000 charge came from K-mart, not Kay Jewelers. She goes into K-mart and heads over to the Jewelry counter, she instantly finds the necklace. it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s a whopping $9.99 – yes, nine dollars and ninety-nine cents. She asks herself “Why would he lie?” so she finds the receipt after she gets home and it turns out the bank was broken because he bought himself a plasma screen that he was hiding in his office from her behind a curtain.

All of this is brought to his attention, with the evidence respectively, and he feels as though it was a complete invasion of his privacy to go behind his back and find the information that he was clearly lying about.

My question to you is: Do you think she was wrong for bringing it to his attention, or do you think he was right for being extremely angry with her for doing so?

He completely 100% lied to her about the price of the item, not to mention the store it was purchased at. He bought himself a new TV in the process when they can’t financially afford it considering she’s 7 months pregnant (yea…sorry I think I forgot to mention that previously). If I were in her shoes I’d use the little strength I had left at the end of a pregnant day and kick him in the face.

This of course…is my answer for everything.

What would you do in this situation?

This guy is stupid if he thinks 1. hes going to buy a plasma screen television and hide it in the house while using it without his wife knowing. 2. buying his wife a 10 dollar necklace. 3.buying a plasma tv when his wife is pregnant. Royally stupid and an ass.

  2. Denisha says:

lol….well I bet that ruined his day.. I think he was wrong…in many ways. for blaming her gift as the reason they are broke now. 2. buying a plasma with the money for the babies needs. for buying her a $10 neclace from kmart instead of walmart and not getting rid of thr reciept. lol..

    no but he just wrong.

It’s awesome that you get to spend more time with the people you care about. Yay for his mom and aunt seeing your awesomeness, right? Have fun in Atlantic City too. As far as the dude guy goes, wow. I think his being angry is just a way of deflecting what he’s done and trying to turn it around on her so she’s the bad guy, ya know? *shakes head* What a slime ball.

OMG I’d kill him. I’d literally have my foot stuck in his ass. That whole journey diamond thing is so neat. I heard them advertising it on the radio and thought it was a neat concept and then saw them in the store and was like wow that is really pretty. I know they have different designs.
When we were in Indy I saw the heart one that ends with the big diamond. I think the cheapest was $429 so I was like eh well. Maybe someday.

Hello when you are married everything should be eachother’s business and if he feels like he’s being invaded he needs to own up to the fact that it’s because he has egg on his face, if he can’t do that then he’s just sorry.

Even I would love to have that necklace for my anniversary but I’d dare not ask for it because I’d rather have another child instead and I can see where she is coming from with a baby on the way.

  5. Angela says:

What a pompous and selfish asshole!!! She’s preggy with his child, but he has the gall to buy himself a damn plasma screen, a fucking measly $10 necklace for her (bet those aren’t real diamonds either), and THEN has the fucking gall to be pissy all about it when she catches him in the lie. I’d be raising hell until he finally agreed to take both purchases back and bought her THAT damn necklace that he said he HAD bought her and he could forget about him getting damn thing for Christmas. He should be fucking happy that she is about to give birth to his child and that she is still married to his over superficial self.

Side note: Have fun in Atlantic City =)

  6. Jenny says:

wow. id be pissed. and hed be out of the house. what a pig. typical male i suppose.

  7. Melinda says:

Wow that guy sucks. She should do more than just kick him in the face. I can’t believe he would go so far as to buy a tv for himself.

  8. Ashley says:

Man oh man. I would seriously fucking kill him if I were her. In the first place, he shouldn’t have lied to her. Secondly, why the FUCK would you buy a plasma and think that you could hide that from your wife?

And telling her he got her a $1000 necklace when it was only $10. God. He sounds like an asshole. I mean seriously, if he does something like this with a child on the way… who’s to say what he’s gonna do down the road?

She should lodge her foot in his ass so far that it comes out his mouth.

  9. Tanya says:

I’m all for kicking in the face. Fair enough she was kinda snooping, but still, he lied to her on a massive scale which was a much shittier thing to do. Even if he HAD spent $1,000 on a necklace for her, he should’ve had the decency not to talk about how much it cost!

  10. Arwen says:

In response to Tanya, I don’t think it was snooping, because they’re married. You shouldn’t have to keep any secrets from your spouse. What kind of relationship is that? She had every right to go and snoop if she thought it was suspicious. He has no right to be angry. In fact, if it was my household, he’d be out of the house. Permanently. And probably missing a few teeth, as well.
