Dying

It may only be about 60?Ǭ? but it’s humid as a bitch outside right now. We’ve got the air conditioner on in hopes to cool the place down a bit. :: crosses fingers ::

Baby and I just got back from walking Bella. Thanks to all of the rainfall over the last 24 hours, everything is flooded so she’s soaked to the bone. I really do need to get her to the groomer as soon as possible. I held her down tonight to trim around her eyes so you could actually see her face again. Unfortunately she still looks rather scruffy so it’s about time I get her shaved for the summer. I figured if I could find someone down here that wouldn’t mess her up, the way many groomers have in the past, I’ll get her done every couple of months so that she doesn’t have to go a long period of time with a lot of hair on her. It’ll also help with upkeep considering she hasn’t been feeling well lately and it’s a hassle to wipe her butt down every time she goes outside to poop.

While I did accomplish a lot today, I didn’t get to complete everything I set out to do. I’m actually going to be turning in for the night because I’m exhausted and Baby and I are going to the beach around 5:30. So I’m going to take a quick 2 hour cat-nap just to give myself some energy, then once I get home from the beach…I’m just going to go to bed for the rest of the morning. I don’t particularly like doing that but for the sake of a sun-rise or just a massive high tide (since the storm is over the Atlantic Ocean right now) I figure that’s going to be worth it in the end anyway.

I’m going to finish up a quick email check and then head off.

Night all.

I hope you’ll find someone who’ll cut Bella’s hair – it’s really warm here these days and I pity all the cats and dogs who can’t take their hair off to cool down a little x)

    Have fun at the beach!

My husband doesn’t understand that I’m the type of person who wants a fan on me at all times especially during sleep. I find it hard to sleep if it’s above 60 degrees without the fan on low speed above me. It’s just a comfort issue. I hate humidity it makes me a bitch. It has also started making my hair all crazy because it’s really thick and I’d just rather lock myself in the basement then to deal with humidity.

I envy you right now. Do you know I’m 31 and I’ve never seen the Ocean? Is that stupid or what? We really need to get out of the house more often.

Krissy: I’m less than a mile from the beach, come visit me and you can hang out there all you want.

Good luck with your search for a decent groomer, it’s actually much harder than it should be. I ended up caving and learning how to cut hair so that I could groom my long haired cat, it’s much too hot for her here in the summer. Every groomer wanted to give her some frivolous hair cut or they did such a sloppy job that it looked like a ten year old cut her hair!

It’s 80 degress in Utah today, and it feels great! I’m excited for it to warm up!

Sounds like you are living the good life. If you want to hear something that really stinks is that it is getting really hot here and my air conditioning is out. It is hotter than hell itself in my living room. Enjoy the beach.

Where are you that it’s so humid? I’m not a fan of humidity .. warm temps yep but humidity no … it just saps your energy doesn’t it?

Hope you find a good groomer too!

It’s supposed to be 70 here in Lansing today, I might even get some flowers planted if I can get my butt off the computer and actually go outside!

What kind of dog is Bella? We have a mutt with golden retriever and cocker spaniel mixed in, and his hindquarters are this long, silky, wavy fur that picks up every bit of wet grass when he goes outside in the morning. Then I have to spend like an hour combing it out. It’s a pain, but I don’t know if I should have his fur shaved or not.
