Miles + Sleep = Unproductive

Minus a passing thunderstorm, it was fairly lovely today. Baby and I took an extremely long walk on the beach. We usually do a quick pass about halfway down the beach and work our way back but today we wound up in the next town to then turn around. It’s our goal to walk the entire strip (about 5 miles total) without our legs giving out on us. Some don’t realize how hard it is to walk on light sand. Sure, walking a long the shore is nice and all but sometimes you just want to be in the middle and dig through…works your legs out a lot more than just strolling along.

I wound up taking a nap after I got home. My legs were bothering me and by then the Midol had kicked in so I was just beat to begin with. Now I’m like wide-awake and even though I have a few more emails to go through – I’m just not in the mood to do them because I’d prefer to just lay down and attempt to go back to bed. It’s almost 3AM anyway, nothing really wrong with that – right? :eh:

Guess I’ll finish up the emails/comments. I’ll respond to everything soon – I know I have a lot to go through.

Wide awake at 3am? That’s just like me as well, because I usually sleep very late and end up waking up in the middle of the night for no apparent reason.

I’m trying to get back into walking and exercising. My friend is in the army and wants me to start running with him. I could only imagine how that will go. He says we’ll go at my pace, which is probably crawling compared to him.

Nothing wrong with leaving some emails for another time, you need you time, and if you’re tired than sleep 🙂

I love taking walks & I wish I lived near a beach ( just so I could take strolls near on it). Like you mentioned, The sand makes it difficult to walk but it’s good leg exercise.

I try to avoid naps only because I know if I take one… I’ll be up ALLL night.
