Weekend Round-up

After quite a bit of searching through many search engines, and forums no less, I was able to come across a screen saver that worked under a dual monitor configuration. I played around with the trial, liked what I saw, and now I’m happy to see tons of fish every time I come back to my desk. I’m easy to please. I would have a big fish tank of my own but my allergies are extremely sensitive and just walking past a truck that’s unloading fresh fish I break out in hives. I personally don’t think I could handle having to deal with cleaning tanks at this point either. So I went for the virtual route and I couldn’t be happier. I dropped a quick $20 at dreamaquarium.com, for those interested in it as well. I had one that came with XP Plus but there was no way to set it for multiple monitors, so that’s all figured out. I’m also happy to know that Active Desktop gives you the ability to have different wallpapers on each setup. I’m all customized now heh.

I’m going through email at the moment, I’ve reinstalled Thunderbird in hopes that my issues are resolved. I found out that Paypal was having some trouble this past weekend with payments so hopefully that’s all cleared up soon. I know I’m waiting on money from escrow on many sites, plus the subscription payments being processed for hosting. Either way I’m sure it will all resolve itself eventually.

I haven’t gotten much work done in the past few days. I think it all began to catch up with me so I’ve kind of “crashed” so to speak. I was also busy cleaning as well, so that didn’t help my work-based concentration very much either. Needless to say, I’m getting back on track and hopefully I’ll have another $2500 month. I fell about $500 short of my goal but either way I’m very content with it, so that’s all that matters.

Why use a screen saver when you can just use power saving settings?

I hate the power-saving settings for a Desktop. When it comes to my laptop I typically let it do that, but when it comes to monitors that are typically left on all day, it just adds visual interest to an extremely plain desk.
