Google has finally updated their page ranks, after six months of being overdue. I’m pissed to find out that my rank dropped from a five to a four. I don’t quite understand why, either. My hits have been steadily on the rise for the last couple of months. I’m averaging about 1500 a day and I still don’t quite understand how I could have possibly dropped in rank. Alexa and Technorati went down but unlike GooglePR, when those numbers go down – it’s a good thing. It’s my goal to have Alexa in the 50K range, and technorati in the 20k range, hopefully I’ll be able to do that. I guess I’ll just have to keep pushing myself for it.
Sorry to hear about that. 1500 hits a day sounds great to me, I guess I’m at a loss why they would have lowered your ranking. Then again I don’t know much about PR. By the way, how often does Google update their PR?
Krissy: Google is supposed to update their ranking every 3 months or so, but they were pretty far behind considering their last major update was in September 2006.
Mine did the same. I was a 5 but then I dropped to a 4. The only changes I made recently was my website title. I went from “Raw Vegan Momma” to “The Raw & The Cooked”. In my case, I believe that is what did it.
