It’s strange.

Monday, April 30th, 2007

It’s been a few months since Anna Nicole past away. There are still people going on about her. The thing that pissed me off the most throughout all of this was how much of a circus everyone insisted upon continuing with. She lived for drama, she lived to be in the spotlight. Her morgue picture being in the paper really just killed it for me. Let the woman rest in peace.

Larry is the father, any idiot could see that the child looked nothing like Howard. He had the child in his hand for only a few hours and he’s already got pictures in People and probably any other magazine that he could cash a check through. Anna’s mother is already in the process of writing a book, her sister wrote a book about her, and the only one who hasn’t said anything about a book is Dani Lynn but hey – she can’t even read yet, let alone write something down.

Is there anyone that actually cares that this child isn’t going to grow up with a mother?

You can watch shows all day long, especially Maury, where fathers go out of their way to say they aren’t the father and the woman is just a “bitch who can’t keep her legs closed”. With the slight chance of any money being attached to Dani Lynn, five men just showed up and raised their hand. They just wanted to cash in on their potential millions. They figure if they can raise the child for 18 years, once the kid is old enough to access her trust fund – she’ll pay daddy (and daddy’s girlfriend/wife) for all of his effort for the last two decades.

I can’t wait to see how messed up this child is going to be over the years. I think we’re looking at a combination of celebutant/crack head – that’s all she has to look forward to.

Travel Plans: Florida!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

PPPBaby and I spend a lot of time talking about what we’d like to do in the future. One of our major goals is to travel to all 50 states (by Winnebago) and see all of the little mom and pop places that make America what it is. We don’t care about eating at any major food chains, we want little hole in the wall places that are popular for unique reasons. What we’ve both agreed upon, however, is that if we do go to any highly populated area that’s very well known it’s most likely going to be Orlando because of their theme parks and Disney World because it’s … well … the happiest place on earth.

I know a few people who live in Florida and while it’s a pretty bad state to live in if you don’t like constant storms, it’s worth it’s weight in gold for the beautiful beaches and even more beautiful people. I’ve considered owning an Orlando Vacation Home, I’ve also considered a Villa in Disney because I pay pretty close attention to Disney news and there’s quite a bit going on down there at the moment.

I’m not sure if those goals will ever be met. Things like this usually require a lot of money that I just don’t have right now. If I can continue to bring in a solid $2500 a month than maybe I’ll be able to reach these goals sooner than anticipated, for now it’s just a dream that I hope to have fulfilled one day… nothing wrong with that.

Not sleepy … this sucks!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

I’m having trouble sleeping, if you haven’t already noticed.

We took Bella for a nice long walk, did our two miles so we feel better now. All garbage was put out on the curb, I fed Bella and now I’m just sitting here listening to the TV in the background while I’m surfing the ‘net. I’m tired but not quite tired enough to actually get any sleep. I just turned the air conditioner off because it was starting to get chilly in here. That was probably a pretty dumb idea though. It’s supposed to get up to about 85?Ǭ? today so I think I’m going to wind up switching it back on before I go to bed. I know that the dogs were kind of cold so that’s why I turned it off. Princess is a little bloated because she over-ate today and Bella has a few…err…bald patches…so she was kind of chilly as well.

Maybe I’ll do some more surfing and then go force myself to sleep. It SHOULD work. Worse case scenario I get some work done that I was going to put off until this afternoon considering it would be too warm to really be outside. If I can get it done now, however, it’ll give me more time to plant some seeds.

Lot’s to do, no time to do it.

Monday, April 30th, 2007

PPPSince it’s spring, naturally I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning. The living room is clean, kitchen is cleaning, dining room is clean, bathroom is clean and the bedroom is clean, but slightly in a bit of chaos while I’m still figuring out where to place everything. The only thing I haven’t done yet is take care of everything outside of the house. There’s still some weeds to be pulled, seeds to be planted (now that it’s warming up outside) and I desperately need to pressure wash the deck and the porch because of the last few years of crud that’s gone untouched since Baby moved into this house. This house wasn’t here for that long before they moved in, it actually was only built a few months before they purchased it. That’s the beauty of new communities and manufactured homes.

I love this house, it’s just so close to the beach that it’s not easy to keep clean. We track sand in whenever we walk on the boardwalk and it’s the typical salty air that you would expect considering it’s so close to the Atlantic Ocean so it’s only natural to want to go outside to pressure wash the exterior, there’s also a few large trees around so the sap coming off them doesn’t help either.

Since the trip to Atlantic City is coming up, I’m also going to have to pressure wash the cars as well. Baby’s car is kind of grimy because I don’t think he’s washed it since he bought it and there’s a lot of sand and random garbage beginning to pile up in there. I think Kay is taking her car to the car wash up the street because it’s new so it needs to be waxed before the hot sun and salty air begin eating away at the paint.

So basically…there’s a lot to do and not much time to do it.

Brand new pay site!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

There’s a new paid-to-blog site out there named bloggerwave. They’re a lot like many of the sites out there at the moment. You sign up and once your blog is approved you head over to the opportunities and begin blogging. For those looking to be involved in an up and comming paid-to-post website, then I think bloggerwave.com would be the best place for you. Head over there now, it’s a quick sign up process and there’s currently $20 worth of entries listed for those just signing up. Paid blogging is really quick cash, especially with all of the stay at home moms and job seekers out there right now.

Many people have their own personal opinions about paid blogging, I personally think that there’s nothing wrong with it and encourage it to anyone who’s only form of income is based online. Bloggers have been reviewing products and weblogs for years, nothing wrong with getting paid for it on occasion.

Check out bloggerwave.com, you may like what you see.

PICK THAT UP!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

After I vacuum, I get very bitchy about what can and can’t be on the floor. It annoys the hell out of me if someone comes walking through the living room dropping crumbs on the floor after I’d just spent a half hour cleaning the rugs. I know it sounds kind of stupid but I’m just agitated at the moment. We obviously haven’t left the house yet to bring Bella for a walk but that’s irrelevant right now because I just spent ten minutes picking up tiny little pieces of paper. Both Bella and Princess had a field day with a toilet paper roll and now there’s paper all over the living room. Thank god the roll was empty but I can’t wait until I do the final run through the house and dump all the garbage to be picked up tomorrow. If the bathroom were just a little bit bigger, I’d seriously consider getting a larger garbage pale.

Time to go bother baby and get all of this garbage out of here before we walk the dog. There’s no reason to keep coming back in and out of the house if we can just do it all in one swift move and get out of here for our walk. I need to get my shoes on anyway.

That special someone.

Walk the dog!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

The internet seems to be back to where it’s supposed to be. It’s still a little sluggish but at least it’s not moving slower than dial-up. They say the average person spends no more than 30 seconds at a page if it doesn’t load right away. I don’t even think I wait that long. I know that if my default website doesn’t boot instantly with Firefox that I have no real reason to even stay on the page at all.

The amusing thing is, now that the ‘net is back up and running, we’re heading out for a little while to take Bella on a long walk. We didn’t get to do our usual two miles last night because she wasn’t feeling well and neither was I considering how strangely I was sitting in the chair all day so my hip was completely out of whack. We’re going to walk around the complex and hopefully it’ll be easier for Bella now that she won’t have everything caked onto her butt. I can’t wait to get her to the groomer, it’s pretty sad that she requires more upkeep than I do sometimes…lol.

Time to get my shoes on, I’m putting the AC on so when we get back to the house I’m not dying anymore. It’s really warm in here for some reason and rather uncomfortable. I have to take a shower before I go to bed anyway, I feel icky. I guess tonight’s going to drag on longer than originally planned…heh.

I lose my … what?

Monday, April 30th, 2007

While I’m primarily saving up for my vacation with Baby, I’m saving beyond my goal for a secondary goal. I’m pretty desperate to get into school and at this rate, while paid posting and design work is going pretty well at the moment, I’m still having a little bit of trouble getting off the ground. In order to get the money I need for school, including the supplies I would need in order to achieve full potential of what I set out to do, I’m probably going to have to take out a loan.

Thankfully, I’ve done enough research to know that I just need to take out a personal loan, maybe even a student loan. When I first read the term secured loan, I was very confused until I read what it meant. I don’t have a house or a car to put up as collateral so there’s no way that it would be a good idea for me. There’s also secured home loans but it really makes no sense to me because what’s the point of putting up a house as collateral when you just need the loan to put money into the house or even buy one. I’m an idiot when it comes to this stuff. I just need to pay close attention of everything going on around me to make sure I don’t do something seriously wrong to the point of messing myself up. I can’t even get a bad credit secured loan because I have nothing to put up in it’s place. I refuse to lose my dog, no matter how much money was spent on her.

Back to the drawing board – eh?

Oops! My Bad

Monday, April 30th, 2007

My internet connection is really lagging at the moment, to the point of being abnormally strange. I can barely load Google and since there’s nothing on the page, that should typically be an instant load…that’s why so many people use it, you know? I’m trying to go through email but it’s kind of difficult to do when nothing loads.

I attempted to groom Bella myself, it didn’t work out too well. I’m going to have to make an appointment for sometime this week to get her hair done. Hopefully my Paypal card gets here soon because there’s over $500 in the account and I don’t want to have to transfer everything to Wamu just to use my card because I have no other way of withdrawing the money and most groomers are a cash-only business, at least that’s the way it is in New York, who knows what it’s like down here. I did clean up her face a bit, and her butt – so at least she can’t get anything stuck to her. It’s just everything in between that really needs a trim. Her hair is very uneven at the moment and I’m kind of happy that she doesn’t really go past the porch until after dark because she looks HORRIBLE right now. I feel so bad for doing that to her. It was my idea to try to save some money but I just didn’t have the right kind of materials for it. This is one job that I’m going to leave up to the professionals.

Go figure, I can cut my own hair with no problems but I can’t get a 17 pound dog to look good when I groom her. Baby tried to help with his buzzer but it wouldn’t even go through her hair, I think it actually dulled the blade to be honest, so yea – I’m going to have to come up with about $60 and get her done. I just need to get my ass in gear on some more work. I just didn’t want to dip into my Atlantic City fund for her, I was going to wait until afterwards – I just have no choice in the matter I guess.

Back to work I go.

I don’t like lawyers…

Monday, April 30th, 2007

The one thing I hate the most is dealing with the court systems. I’ve had my fair-share of run-ins with court rooms, mainly because giving someone a free nose job is frowned upon – but that’s besides the point. Right now, my most recent dealing, is all because Baby’s father is a complete butt head.

Last week the doorbell rang and I found myself face-to-face with the mail man while holding back one of the dogs from ripping his ankle off. It was a registered letter, and not thinking twice about it – I went ahead and signed for it. I wasn’t aware that it came from his father until after I’d closed the door and pushed Princess back into her bed. After opening everything, baby instantly went crazy to find out that his father is suing his mother for things of which she has no control over. There were at least 100 pages worth of crap that he’d printed off line and sent in to the court house so who knows what’s really going on there, I just know that she’s been through three lawyers about it and none of them can help her out.

I wanted to find something for her because there’s no reason why she should do this all by herself. I did happen to come across longestlaw.com which is a site that specializes in getting you the right information about attorneys. It teaches you how to choose an attorney and where to find them. There are articles and daily resources about attorneys, us attorneys and tax attorney’s. It was kind of hard to read through everything because of all of the disorganization but what I could come across, nothing really stood out for me to help her out at the moment. There is a site map but the site is SO overrun with ads that it makes me look like I have no ads on my site at all, in comparison. Unfortunately there was nothing on this site that could help her out because she needs one in the Divorce/Children’s Law area so I had to continue my search elsewhere. She hopes to have everything done within the next couple of days, and because of how the letter showed up she doesn’t even know if he actually filed any of this with the courts yet.

There’s just a lot of phone calls to be made, and a lot of people to deal with – this isn’t going to be fun at all.

Busy day.

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

I don’t typically like launching themes early but I’m going to be extremely busy tonight so I don’t really have the ability to do this later. I know this theme, by no means, trumps the April theme but I like it – so that’s that. Based on my inbox I have a shit load of posts to catch up on. I wasn’t expecting them all to show up in one day. I don’t think this post will be topped for very much longer. So yea, new layout, pimp my site if you wish.

Winding Down

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

I was keeping up a really good pace with blogging over the course of the last week and for some reason, yesterday, it seemed to all catch up with me. I wound up having absolutely nothing to say so that’s where my lack of posting went for yesterday.

I did get a lot of work done though. I’m about 80% done with the template I made for Ranee, I’m almost done with two other client templates, I’m also converting a previous clients site over to a new extension so it’s just been a hassle.

Baby and I were at the beach on Saturday morning, it was foggy as a bitch and you couldn’t see anything past 30 feet in front of you along the boardwalk so that made it a fairly interesting morning. The sun kind of appeared out of no where, not really much of a ‘rise’. That didn’t matter too much though because even with the sun you couldn’t really see anything anyway – it only made it worse with how it bounced off the clouds. Got home around 8AM and then knocked out until about 1. Last night we both went to sleep around 6am and now he’s still sleeping and I’ve been up for a few hours doing some work.

I just have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me. I have clients who don’t care to answer their emails – which is typical when you’ve got pending bills that total over $600. Hopefully those will be coming in soon or it’s really going to fuck up my vacation. I can’t be bothered with email because I’m going out to have fun, not be concerned with whether or not clients are going to finally pay up for something…it’s absurd.

In any event, guess I should get some more work done before I take my next cig break.

Dying

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

It may only be about 60?Ǭ? but it’s humid as a bitch outside right now. We’ve got the air conditioner on in hopes to cool the place down a bit. :: crosses fingers ::

Baby and I just got back from walking Bella. Thanks to all of the rainfall over the last 24 hours, everything is flooded so she’s soaked to the bone. I really do need to get her to the groomer as soon as possible. I held her down tonight to trim around her eyes so you could actually see her face again. Unfortunately she still looks rather scruffy so it’s about time I get her shaved for the summer. I figured if I could find someone down here that wouldn’t mess her up, the way many groomers have in the past, I’ll get her done every couple of months so that she doesn’t have to go a long period of time with a lot of hair on her. It’ll also help with upkeep considering she hasn’t been feeling well lately and it’s a hassle to wipe her butt down every time she goes outside to poop.

While I did accomplish a lot today, I didn’t get to complete everything I set out to do. I’m actually going to be turning in for the night because I’m exhausted and Baby and I are going to the beach around 5:30. So I’m going to take a quick 2 hour cat-nap just to give myself some energy, then once I get home from the beach…I’m just going to go to bed for the rest of the morning. I don’t particularly like doing that but for the sake of a sun-rise or just a massive high tide (since the storm is over the Atlantic Ocean right now) I figure that’s going to be worth it in the end anyway.

I’m going to finish up a quick email check and then head off.

Night all.

Lighting Up

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

With the upcoming remodel of both the office and the bedroom, we’re going to do some serious updating as far as lighting is concerned. The ceiling fans are in good condition because the house is only two years old. The lighting attached to them is OK but it’s a little too bright to help with concentration. I know that may sound strange but when you look at a monitor all night, extremely bright lights around you can make it difficult to see anything by the end of the day. It also makes it hotter in there because the room is literally a little cubby-hole with one window that barely picks up a breeze because of it’s location in the room.

We’re looking for lighting fixtures that don’t give off a lot of heat and are still enough light to keep us both comfortable enough to work. We also have to factor in that, since we’re in a small room, we don’t need a vast amount of fixtures. Simple desk lamps may suffice but I think anything over a 40 watt bulb would be kind of stupid considering a 40 watt would brighten up the room more than enough for our eyes to focus.

Recalls and you.

Friday, April 27th, 2007

When I first heard about the dog food recall, I have to say that I frantically looked up everything I could find because I was scared into thinking that Bella had eaten the tainted food. I searched all over the ‘net before I could find any real answers to what was going on. While she doesn’t eat wet-food that often, after I moved down here I did stock up on it, this was back in January. So you could only imagine what was going on in my head when I found out that the “chunks and gravy” kind of food that was produced between December 3, 2006 and March 6, 2007 was recalled.

It took me three years before I could find dog food that Bella would actually eat. I think I’ve gone through every single brand of food I could find for her. She’s a very picky eater, so it made it very difficult for me. She’s been through Mighty Dog, Alpo, Science Diet, Eukanuba, Iams and many more. When I found out that each of these products had been recalled, my heart literally skipped a beat. I was lucky enough to not have fed her the Mighty Dog that I stocked up on. She’s been eating table food for quite some time now and after coming across recopies for home-made dog food back in February, that’s the route I’ve taken ever since.

It saddened me to hear that 16 deaths occurred in direct connection to the tainted food. There were also an estimated 5,000-10,000 pets who may also be affected by it. My question is, who’s paying for this? Why should the consumer have to cover vet bills when it was the fault of the company who produced it. Based on an article found on this dog food recall guide, Menu Foods (the company who started this) will take full responsibility and you will be compensated for it. The vet won’t send the bills to them, you still have to keep a copy of all of your vet records and receipts for pet food purchases as well as your vet bills. So basically, Menu Foods is treating this as sort of a mail-in rebate for your dog. I say have the vet send the bill directly to them, but hey – that’s just me.

There is a 133 page PDF file containing ALL dog food that was recalled, 133 PAGES. You never realize how many people are effected by products until you think of the mass production behind things. Right now you’re probably sipping the same drink that 3,000 other people in the US alone are drinking along with you. With numbers like that, especially with animals, it’s pretty scary. I’m glad that Bella wasn’t effected by this, but am truly sorry to everyone who was for such a horrible mistake.
