Have You Ever Loved?

Friday, November 17th, 2006

So I got an email forward tonight from Lisa. She’s been in my dad’s side of the family for so long that I consider her another aunt. Her and my aunt (the one who just came back from Aruba) have been friends since they were like 2 years old.

I’m not normally into email forwards because I feel that for the most part they’re completely useless. This one, however, kind of stood out. I’m just going to list it here and see if anyone can get anything out of it. Trust me…I’m sure you will.

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR. ! When you say, “I love you,” mean it.

FIVE. When you say, “I’m sorry,” look the person in the eye.

SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

SEVEN. Believe in love at first! sight.

EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone’s dreams. People who don’t have dreams don’t have much.

NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it’s the only way to live life completely.

TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

ELEVEN. Don’t judge people by their relatives.

TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.

THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don’t want to answer, smile and ask, “Why do you want to know?”

FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

FIFTEEN. Say “bless you” when you hear someone sneeze.

SIXTEEN. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson

SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R’s: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

EIGHTEEN. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

NINETEEN. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

Interesting….eh?

So Damn Good!

I’m involved with quite a few companies where you get paid for blog advertising. The only company to ever follow through with their payment has been PayPerPost.com.

I logged into my account today to see what was around to post about and I was instantly drawn to my account statistics. I’ve made over $100 from this company, and I know for a fact that it’s the ONLY company to actually pay me for all of my posts. I only had to post 12 blog entries in order to make $108.50 from it. Each post couldn’t have taken me more than 5 minutes to write. So that seriously averages to $100 an hour, god it must be nice to make that kind of money. No wonder lawyers are so greedy with legal fee’s sometimes.

It’s nice to work with a company that gives you everything they promise. I think that’s the real reason I love PayPerPost.com so much. I’m waiting very patiently for them to offer stocks to their users. I’d so cash out of Verizon for them to show my support.

I have to admit that I’m very jealous though. There are earners involved with PPP that have literally made $2,500-$3,000 just for blogging. Maybe if I can get my ass in gear and post a little more often I’ll be able to earn enough through posting to cover some upcoming Christmas purchases…what do you think?

Another cool thing about PPP is the fact that they actually heart me enough to make me one of their featured bloggers. If a company shows that much care in regards to making their postee’s feel like part of the family then how can you not love them? I swear I’m sending them huge boxes of cookies for Christmas. I wonder if FedEx will be able to handle me this year. I have so much to ship out to family around the US that I may just need to rent out a truck and go on a road trip haha.

In any event, back to work I go. I’m trying to configure gallery2 for a client and although I finally have it working I now need to get the CSS to show up properly. My head is seriously spinning right now because of it :ugh:

Stupid Books!

Tuesday, November 14th, 2006

So I went to the library with the boyfriend today to do some in-house research into the wonderful world of Grants. I was having a really hard time finding good resources online, which is a shocker to me because I always find the best resources…so we packed up my laptop and headed on down.

I’m a bit upset with how things went though…fuck that – down right depressed. I found no new information, whatsoever. I still have no idea how to go about writing up a formal grant. I still have no idea on where to look to find a grant organization to submit to either. grants.gov isn’t really of any use to me for the time being, because again – I DON’T HAVE ANY IDEA HOW TO WRITE ONE.

So basically it’s been a shitty day, financially. I’m behind on work, I’m gonna get that done tomorrow. I had a ‘personal’ weekend to take because of some shit going on around here so hopefully I’ll be back on track with everything soon. I need to send my laptop out to be fixed. It really is just the top layer that’s scratched because I can easily see letters (every clearly) behind the scratch. I hope it’s just a quick fix that won’t cost me anything. I would seriously run into a huge emotional spiral if I had to shell out money to fix something that’s under warrenty considering the system itself runs at 100%.

For now, Bella’s passed out (and snoring rather loudly) next time. I guess that’s a key sign that I need to get my ass to sleep. My eyes are about to pop out of my head anyway.

Night all…

Note: I’ve been getting A LOT of emails from people telling me that they ‘completed offers’ under one of my referrals. In order to have a completed offer you need to pull out a credit card and go through the process of signing up for one of the offers listed on the site. Creating an account and typing in an email address is NOT completing an offer. If that were the case, I’d have made like $540,000 from just nb4f.com considering I have over 300 sign-ups under my referral. So make sure you’ve used a credit card to purchase something under your offers panel before you email me. It’s just a waste of my time…and your’s if you aren’t going to do something the right way and just drag me along with you.

It’s been a pretty hectic week. Between house sitting and mounds of work I haven’t had any real time to relax. I’m going home tonight though, so it’ll be nice to crash in my own bed.

I’m still behind on emails but I’m slowly catching up. My spam filter isn’t really deleting what it’s supposed to so I’m going to have to change the preferences and go from there.

Scratch I need to send my laptop out for servicing. I’m gonna do it when I go away with the boyfriend because I don’t really need to have my computer that week since I can use his. The reason for sending it out is because of another monitor issue. This time it was completely my fault and I take full responsibility for it. I dropped my clip board on it and it took off the protective layer. I’ll call it in a few days before I leave. I’ll have it sent out from his house…it’s easier for me. I have my external hard drive so I can still get to my files when I need to…I’m not overly concerned about it at this point.

I’ve been cleaning the house ALL DAY. This place is covered in cat hair and dust and my allergies have been fucked the whole time I’ve been here. It’s all cleaned up now though…about as clean as it can get. I swear if I could afford it I’d replace all the furniture in the house (most of it’s broken in the living room anyway) and then I’d slip cover it for full cat protection. I love this house though, don’t get me wrong. I just always make the mistake of wearing black pants when I’m here and the rest is history.

And speaking of cats…Figgy is making himself very known in regards to wanting to play so I guess I’ll just end this here. I’m heading home tonight after 7, I don’t think I’ll be around until tomorrow afternoon when I’ve settled in and have my laundry done. It’s easier to concentrate that way…you know?

I’ll be spending the next few days with the boyfriend too so who knows what’ll happen with my ‘net time. I can get my clients done while he’s here, that’s the beauty part of dating a computer nerd…he brings his own :heh:

Happy Veterans Day! I already promised Dad he’d get whatever he wants for dinner tomorrow. Lord knows no one else is going to hand him anything. I really just don’t understand why everyone has a Veterans Day sale. It’s not like a new leather couch has ANYTHING to do with War. So I figure since he was in Vietnam, I’ll just throw some steaks on the BBQ heh. That’s about as American as you can get…right? 🙂

Boring Couple of Days

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

It’s about a half hour to 10 which can only mean that Nip/Tuck will be on soon. It’s been a long day so it’ll be nice to curl up in bed with my hot chocolate and enjoy the only show I can say I’m in love with. Next to That 70’s Show of course.

I did quite a bit of cleaning today, and then I did some grocery shopping. My sister keeps bringing home junk food and I’m getting really sick of living off peanuts and bagels. So, I went out and loaded up on chicken, meat, pasta and veggies so I’ll have enough food in the house for the next couple of days to keep me sane.

I didn’t do so well at the casino this weekend. I went up with $130, and I lost it. My aunt handed me $100 for my birthday and I lost that as well. I made the last $20 stretch for about an hour and then it was time to go home. It wasn’t a TOTAL loss though. I had dinner at Big Bubba’s, which is excellent by the way. I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with the boyfriend while everyone was off doing their own thing. I was bouncing from machine to machine. I was around a few people that hit big jackpots and drooled in jealousy. Some older lady next to me won around $2,000 and then another girl behind me (on a machine I was on earlier by the way) won around $5,000 so yay for them…boo for me.

I’m going to be doing some cleaning tomorrow and on Thursday I’ll be doing some packing. I’m going to be at my aunts house for a week while she’s in Aruba. The boyfriend will be around so that’s always a good thing. After Thanksgiving I’m going on another week-long vacation, so I’m basically spending over a month out of the house at this point heh.

I’m ass deep in work, so I’m not overly concerned about the money I lost this weekend. I’ll basically have made it all back by tomorrow afternoon so there’s nothing to cry about there. I’m waiting very patiently for a client to get back to me considering he owes me around $500, hopefully that comes through.

I know it’s a few hours early but I doubt I’ll be on line long enough to do this at midnight so you’ll notice the November 2006 theme is up and running. I wanted to be as simple as possible and I think I succeeded. I’m done with all of the Ad-Brite stuff because it wasn’t really bringing in any money anyway, so there’s no point in it anymore. I have a few ideas that I’m playing with as far as template business goes. I’m sure I’ll continue to shoot those ideas around in my head until I either put them on paper or forget them completely. Either way (as usual) it works in my head and I guess that’s all that matters.

It’s about 20 minutes to 10:00 and I think I’m going to head off. I need to boil some water and straighten up quick before I sit down for an hour with some ‘me’ time for the first time today.

Later gators.

Mohegan Sun Here I Come!

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

It’s been a pretty busy weekend. I’m going through boyfriend withdrawal after spending over a week and a half with him, but I’ll see him soon. I got quite a bit of work done but I’m still behind on emails right now, so for those of you whom have been emailing me up the wazoo with questions and what not, please do not take offense. I’ve just gotten the agn-solutions based emails under control. I’ll slowly get through my Gmail account as the night dies down. I can’t promise anything though.

I spent quite a bit of time today downloading albums. Yay for .iso! I got myself about 12 albums (total) by 4 different bands so I guess the car ride tomorrow won’t be a total snooze fest. It’s hard rebuilding my iPod to what it once was but I guess it’ll happen at some point. I used to have around 18 gigs, and then I formatted it because of some funky error showing up and since iTunes doesn’t allow you to download the songs I had to lose everything. I tried iPod Ripper but it didn’t work the way it was supposed to. Now I’m 3GB into the 18GB I used to have. I guess that counts for something…right?

In other news, my aunt is coming with dad and I to Mohegan tomorrow so it’ll be a fun family casino day. I have some money saved up for it thanks to birthday cards and whatever was in my bank account that’s perishable funds. I should have more than enough to keep me happy. I figure if I can double my money I’m pretty good. I’m going up with $200 so if I come home with $400 I’ll consider it to be a very good day. We’re leaving around 10am and I’m making it a point to be knocked out by midnight tonight so I can wake up early enough to shower, walk the dog, and chug a pot of coffee so I can stay awake all day for the ever-so-fun slot machines. I’m not a table person so I’ll be in one of the ‘louder’ sections of the casino. We’ll see what happens.

I was going to take a shower tonight to do my hair but considering my hair is still wet from this afternoon’s shower I’ll just blow it out and then run a brush through it tomorrow. Or by the time I’m done writing up this post I’ll have said “Fuck It” and just take one tomorrow and do my usual messy pony tail thinger. Yea…thinger…is like my word of the week. The boyfriend’s word of the week was Blasphemy and he connected it to like…everything. It’s hot when he uses $2 words…yep…I said it.

So I’m sitting in the kitchen and from the top of my monitor I notice the chair in the living room is moving quite a bit. Knowing that Maureen is asleep (she goes to work at midnight) I figure “Okay…we’re haunted” until I see a fluffy tail shaking around. Bella is staring right at me through the hole on the arm of the chair and is now back to hopping up and down off the chair. Everyone loves a fluffy pest…don’t they?

In any event, I’m going to get to that email and then get myself ready for bed.

I’m Home

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I’m officially home, not that I’d like to be. I enjoyed my vacation as well as my birthday. Thank You to everyone whom left birthday wishes on my comments, email and even a few e-cards, they’re sweet.

I’m a bit behind on emails but that’s my own fault for not getting online when I knew I should have. I’m in the process of taking care of them now though. I figured that since I’m waiting on a response from a client I’ll just write up a quick blog since I haven’t really blogged in a while.

Things are going pretty good, my vacation actually helped me out as far as my stress levels are concerned. I’m concentrating more now than I thought I would and that’s always a good thing. Thanks to my boyfriend’s birthday gifts I now have the hard drive enclosure that I was looking to get so I’m also in the process of formatting my old hard drive so I can now start unloading files from my laptop. This will also help my stress level because I won’t get one of those “YOU HAVE NO DAMN ROOM LEFT STOP SAVING FILES” kind of messages. I can easily unload like 30gigs worth of files and get my computer back up to where it was the day I got it. I’m noticing a lag lately and I’m not quite sure where it’s coming from. I figure if I can run programs like Adobe and what not off the secondary drive then I won’t have to worry about burning out my laptop too soon.

I took quite a bit of pictures this week on the drive down, not sure which ones I’m looking to publish as of yet but either way it was fun. I scared myself because I think in the 7 hours we were in the car I took over 400 pictures of shit that wasn’t really important but I thought was pretty cool. I’ve got pictures of 4 different states and that’s just nifty to me heh. Thank god for my memory card hah.

I spent some time in Maryland on the board walk of Ocean City this week. Arcade games are just too damn fun. I got myself a glass dolphin with my winnings and it’s cute as hell. I’ll have a picture of it eventually. It’s a heavy fucker though, I guess it’s a paper weight. I’m sure I’ll find a place for it when I’m done cleaning up my room. I figure since tomorrow is going to be a big laundry day for me I’ll be able to reorganize myself and get back into the swing of being home…not that I’m happy about it of course.

Things are going good though, all the ‘bad’ has been erased from my life and it’s basically smooth sailing right now. Annoyances have moved away from me, things with the boyfriend are better now than they’ve ever been before. Usually after a few days together I want to scream my head off (and maybe visa-versa) but this past week and a half proved that we work well together and instead of arguing we got along pretty well. I guess it’s safe to say our relationship has moved to a new level.

This coming Sunday I’m going to be in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun getting my casino itch out of my system. Dad’s bringing me up for my birthday, we’re not sure if my aunt’s coming with us yet but we’ll find out. She’s not sure if she wants to go because the following Friday (Nov. 3) she’s leaving for Aruba for a week. I’ll be at her house. I’m pretty sure Bella is going through some MAJOR withdrawal considering I’m not going to be around for about 3 weeks (total at least). Once my aunt gets back I’m basically done with all my traveling for a little while so I’m sure I’ll go back to being too comfortable in my little room while.

I’m basically ass-deep in clients right now, not that I’m complaining. I’ve just made the mistake of over booking myself so it will be interesting to see how far I’m going to get without wanting to scream my head off. I’ve written everything down (as usual) so I’ll be able to keep track of things without any major issues. It’s kind of strange though. For the last couple of months I’ve been hoping to have a huge chunk of change fall into my lap so I’ll be able to enroll in school…I wasn’t expecting it to happen this way but I’m happy about it. If I’m not working on something I’m usually going crazy. I have a problem with being under-productive. I think that’s why I spend so much time cleaning things that honestly don’t really need to be cleaned. It’s just an excuse for me to keep myself busy when there are no other means of entertainment I guess. I can’t just lay on the couch all day and do nothing…it drives me crazy.

I’m going to do some surfing around and see what’s going on. I haven’t spoken to ANYONE in the last like two weeks so I’m out of the loop.

Later gators.

TWO TWO!

Sunday, October 22nd, 2006

To sound about as annoying and needy as possible:

Happy Birthday To Me!

Send me money – donate@krissy.nu – kthnx haha.

I’m alive!

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

I know it’s been a while since I posted but that’s based on the fact that I haven’t been around in a while. I’m currently on ‘vacation’. I’ve been working for the past week but I guess it was more of a vacation from my usual environment, which is always a good thing. I’ve been enjoying myself, it’s nice to leave the state for a while, you know?

I’m sure I’ll have some pictures to post when I get home. I have them with me now I’m just not in the mood to load Adobe and resize all the images so I’ll just take care of them later.

But yea, I guess this is my “I’m alive” entry…heh.

Nursery Rhymes We Didn’t Have As Kids

Saturday, October 14th, 2006

Normally I don’t like the idea of email forwards. Although I’ve seen this one a few times before, something just felt write about pasting it today heh.

1. Mary had a little pig, she kept it fat and plastered; and when the price of pork went up, she shot the little bastard.

2. MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB Her father shot it dead. Now it goes to school with her, between two hunks of bread.

3. JACK AND JILL Went up the hill to have a little fun. Stupid Jill forgot the pill and now they have a son.

4. SIMPLE SIMON met a Pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the Pie man, “What have you got there?” Said the Pie man unto Simon “Pies, you Dumb Ass”

5. HUMPTY DUMPTY sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the kings’ horses, and all the kings’ men. Had scrambled eggs, for breakfast again.

6. HEY DIDDLE, DIDDLE the cat took a piddle, all over the bedside clock. The little dog laughed to see such fun. Then died of electric shock.

7. GEORGIE PORGY Pudding and Pie. Kissed the girls and made them cry. And when the boys came out to play, he kissed them too ’cause he was gay.

8. There was a little girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good. But when she was bad…….. She got a fur coat, jewels, a waterfront condo, and a sports car.

Sunday came and went…

Sunday, October 8th, 2006

It’s been a pretty uneventful day. I’ve been lounging around with a book and writing up some scholarship essays here and there. I’m working on a new template for acidgloss.net that’s a little bit more graphically advanced. I also need to setup an official ‘database’ for template previews because I’m not really happy with how things are setup now. I have a few pre-made that I need to add to the database anyway, so I’ll be working on that over the course of the next few weeks.

I’m going to be doing quite a bit of editing to the acidgloss.net content too. I’ve been doing some tutoring lately so I’m going to add that to my list of services. I give out coding help all day long for free, so may as well see how far I can go by charging people. I’m not going to be crazy with the pricing though; $5 an hour is pretty reasonable I say.

I’m taking my vacation next week, so that should be fun. I’ll have my laptop with me though so on the down-days I’m sure I’ll be online getting things done. I’ve let Tony know that I’ll be away so if I can’t get into the hosting things he’s going to have to pick up the slack. I doubt he’ll do it considering his inability to commit to things he’s being paid for, but whatever. I’m coming back on the 22nd so I’ll be home for my birthday. The following Sunday (29th) I’m going to the casino with Dad and possibly my aunt, she doesn’t know yet. That following Friday (Nov. 3rd) I’m going to be at my aunts house for a week while she goes to Aruba. So all-in-all it’s going to be a pretty busy end-of-the-month for me. Nothing I can’t handle though. I’ll still be able to work on things either way.

I’m slowly getting the new AGn-Solutions template up and running. It’s taking me a bit longer to customize everything than I thought it would but that’s ok. I’m proud of it, so I’m sure it will be worth it.

For now I’m in the living room and everyone is home. Maureen just got home from work so she’s extra talkative. Dad’s flipping through channels so I can safely say that right now there are three interesting shows on TV but none of them I’ll be able to watch considering I don’t feel like getting up to go to my room. The thing is, I’m the one who got the new TV for the living room because of Freepay and whatnot, but I can honestly say that I have rarely ever watched it. I was watching a movie out here today and finally got to see the HD color quality and damn, it’s some nice shit hehe.

I guess I’ll head off for the night. The boyfriend went to bed and I really have nothing else to do. I have a few comments to return from the last couple of entries so maybe I’ll do those before I completely sign off for the night. At least it’ll give me something to do for twenty minutes.

Night all.

Eat Me!

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

It’s around midnight here on the island and I have officially hit complete and total boredom. While doing some surfing for blog topic ideas with my typical blog advertising program, I came across a few blogs that basically go out of their way to badmouth PPP.com.

See, I look at it this way:

If you’re someone who puts a lot of work into your blog but will randomly run out of ideas, then what is so wrong with having random topics to post about that you can actually get paid for? PPP is really the only company out there that has a huge database with blog topics to go through. There are a few others out there but you have to wait for them to actually even give you a topic to post. With PPP you can just login, pick something, and blog about it. There’s nothing wrong with it, you’re being paid to advertise a product, program or website which is what a lot of bloggers do anyway.

What the usual “This system is BS” losers are saying is that those involved with PPP are nothing more than spammers. Here’s my take on it:

spam (spm)
n.
Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail.

tr.v. spammed, spam?Ǭ?ming, spams
To send unsolicited e-mail to.
To send (a message) indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups.

There is nothing being sent to anyone, there are no emails going out, and individuals are not submitting their URL to thousands of other websites in order to get their paid post out there. So how exactly are we spamming the weblog community?

I think anyone who isn’t already involved with payperpost.com should either a: Sign up (use krissyville@gmail.com as your referral) and make literally thousands of dollars for yourself (top earner is up to $1700!) or b: shut the hell up about things that you don’t know and simply don’t involve yourself. There’s freedom of speech, fine…but if you make it your lifes effort to go out of your way to be an ass for shockvalue or whatever else is going on in your peabrain then you’re basically useless.

I’ve been paid by this company, every post I’ve made with this company has been accepted and I’m even one of their upcoming featured bloggers because of my loyalty. So basically all I have to say to anyone doubting this program is…well…eat me.

Biz-E!

Friday, October 6th, 2006

On Tuesday morning I woke up and was instantly bored out of my mind. My sister wasn’t around all day and by the time I got to the point of wanting to verbally deal with someone my father was on his way out the door for work. I spent the day wandering around the house looking for things to do. I cleaned, I did some cooking, I did some more cleaning and then I wound up in bed with a book. It didn’t really do much for me though.

I took a walk down to the store where my sister’s currently working and bothered her for a little bit. I wandered around the store and then I headed up to Petco with the thought of purchasing a Beta but I decided that it wouldn’t be fun to walk home (in the heat) with a fish tank and a new toy for Bella to bark at excessively because it won’t play with her. So…to keep my spirits up I went and got myself a coloring book. I know you’re sitting there like “WTF Krissy? W T F?” but that’s my way of keeping myself entertained long enough without having to smoke. Lately I’ve cut back quite a bit and that’s because I’ve been keeping my hands busy doing things other than smoking or typing. I’m taking up knitting next, I just need to wait until a gash on my hand clears up first (long story).

On Tuesday night I was on Skype with the boyfriend and then my aunt called. She asked me if I would be interested in going to the Mets game on Wednesday. Now, I’m not a baseball fan because I personally think it’s a useless game with pampered pretty boys but I decided “Hey, free tickets and I get out of the house” so I went. We took the train in, so that was interesting. The ride to Jamaica was ok because we basically sat there the whole time. The train from Jamaica to Woodbury was PACKED SOLID so we wound up standing at the doors, same thing from Woodbury to Shea Stadium. On the way to Shea I met a guy who was already plastered but he was showing off his Mets pride with a shirt and a beer so he was content with life. He didn’t even mind that I stumbled a bit when we went over a rough section, I think he was happy to feel a set of tits on him anyway, mine were extra perky yesterday for some reason LOL. The walk to our seats wasn’t fun but it was worth it. We were on the third baseline, surrounded by fans that were both amusing and offensive and after all of the cheering, clapping, and of course the alcohol, I got into the game. Mets won 6-4 and by the time we changed over all of the trains and then got back on the Oyster Bay line, we got home around 10 last night. All in all I have to say it was a good night. After the game let out I was amused to see FSNY filming in the parking lot. The two reporters were surrounded by a few hundred Mets fans screaming “Yankee’s Suck! Yankee’s Suck!”. I laughed, lit up a cig and went on my merry way.

I got home with a pretty bad headache though, between the screaming, beer and the fact that I had only eaten a slice of bread yesterday (literally) my head was throbbing like holy hell. I would have eaten at the park but I’m completely against ball park food pricing so I avoided the situation entirely. A bottle of water was $4.00, it cost me like $11.75 for a round of beers (mind you they were only the 8-10oz cans btw). So by the time the hot dog guy came around, I decided “No thanks” and my aunt and uncle had theirs, two hot dogs, $15.00…can someone say HIGHWAY ROBBERY!? I understand they’re spending a butt load of money paying the players and building the new stadium (which is why there was no parking and more than half of the stadium took the train) but $7.50 for a Nathans hot dog on some Wonder Bread rolls? Puh-lease!

After a quick phone call to the boyfriend, I knocked out last night around 1:30. My alarm was set for 9:30 this morning because I knew UPS would be here with my camera. Unfortunately UPS wasn’t on their regular schedule. They didn’t show up to my house until about 4:00 and since I was dozing all day but kept waking up every time I heard a truck pull up, I just wasn’t a happy camper. My camera did show up though. It a little bigger than I thought it was going to be, but it’s still a really small camera just the same. Since I was so beat today I didn’t really take many pictures. I do have two to share though.

#1 – This is the cam itself: View Image #1, View Image #2

#2 – This is a quick snap shot of the packaging, note that no flash was used: View Image

#3 – This is one that I took on the porch outside, obviously the flash was used: View Image

Note that both those pictures are saved a 50% JPG quality but there is absolutely no difference from the original. I’ll have plenty more pictures as time progresses, for now I’m just not in the mood to really do much, I figure four is enough to get the point across heh. I’ll continue to admit that Freepay is a legit company, I still would not recommend them to anyone considering how drastically they’ve gone downhill over the last six months.

I’m sure I’ll have more of a ‘life’ update as the days go on. For now it’s a little after midnight and my heads starting to bother me again so I think it’s time I get myself to sleep…night all!

Boring Monday

Monday, October 2nd, 2006

It’s been a fairly interesting couple of days. I don’t know if interesting is in a good way or a bad way, but interesting just the same.

For the past two nights I’ve made the mistake of eating before I went to bed. I don’t eat much during the day so come 3-4 in the morning I’m starving. I’ve been having some really freaky dreams because of it. It’s the same dream two days in a row and either way it makes no damn sense.

There’s this bird-slash-human thing lingering around my window. It’s the size of maybe a 6’2 human but the bottom half is bird legs. It lingers around my window and follows me from room to room, never coming in the house. My only ‘relief’ from it was hiding in the closet with an equally scared boogey man. Then I went on to have some weird dream about Joe that I’m still trying to make sense of and I’m sure I will once I’m able to sit down and think about it.

I spent the bulk of my Sunday working on a few things. I’m still in the process of working on one account and I did a quick greymatter thing last night, either way I’ve got money coming in so it doesn’t matter.

Now for the excellent news!

Freepay FINALLY shipped my camera! It will be here on the 5th and I can’t wait. It’s coming with me on my vacation and it’s also coming with me to the casino. :: giddy :: Considering the weird night I had, I’d like to think that things are starting to look up…heh.

This can only mean that something is going to go terribly wrong because unfortunately that’s just how things are in my world. I guess I’ll know eventually…eh?

Time to head off for a little while, I need to defrag because this thing is lagging like all holy hell lately. It’s my own fault though, I’ve been running Adobe for the last few hours and a few hours a day for the past week so things are just starting to slow down a bit. Once I get my desktop back things should be easier. I’m going to be picking up the HD enclosure soon so I can unload a good 30 gigs of files that’ll definitely help me out…heh.

Happy October!

If you didn’t already notice, there’s a new theme up on k.nu. The white swirley things at the top were based on a desktop I got off deviantart.com the rest was Photoshop. The ‘hill’ type layers were completely ripped off of Jackie but that’s because I envy her graphic work. I wanted to do a three column theme for a little while now, I just wasn’t sure how I was going to go about playing it out…I’m happy with it though, I guess that’s all that matters.

I had a fairly busy day. I took my AC out of the window, did a small rearrange with my room, organized my desk (again) and then cleaned up the rest of the house so that there wasn’t just one room that was uber clean. I typed up a scholarship essay that I hand-wrote over the week and sent that in and now I just finished up putting the final touches on this theme so yea, I guess I can say I did some shit heh.

For now I’m watching Law & Order: CI on USA and when this gets beyond boring I think I’m just going to call up the boyfriend and yap with him for a few hours.

I have some work coming my way so I’ll be able to reach my tuition goal a lot quicker. It’s my main goal to save up about $8,000 to get every purchase I want to make out of the way but for now the goal has dropped to $900 so that I can enroll in Penn Foster, that will cover the first semester so we’ll see how quick I can save that up.

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks, I’m going to take a week vacation with the boyfriend and then at the end of the month I’m going up to Mohegan Sun with Dad (and maybe my aunt) for a day. I’m only bringing like $300 up with me. Some people go crazy and save up like $1500-$2000 just to go to a casino. I’m sorry but I see no point in setting aside $1500 that you may not even come home with. Even if I had like $20,000 in the bank, $1,500 is still a big enough chunk for me to say “Nuh uh”. I figure $300-$350 is fine. It’s already saved up and put away so I guess that’s all that matters. I should be bringing in about $1400 profit this month and that’s always a good thing. That’s what…$350 a week? Not too bad considering I’ve changed my hours around. I’m only doing about 10 hours a day instead of my previous 18-20, I’ve been catching up on sleep lol.

In any event, if you can read this it’s officially 12AM here on Long Island and I’m most likely on the phone with the boyfriend.

Night all!

On the map!

Quoted from The Glen Cove Record Pilot – September 21 edition.

Law & Order: Locale Glen Cove
If you’re a fan of the television program Law & Order: Criminal Intent, you may be watching an episode in the next couple of weeks and see some very familiar sites. The popular TV series was filming in the City of Glen Cove recently, along with lights, cameras and actors including stars Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, who play, respectively, Detectives Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames.

The shot was arranged by the City of Glen Cove in association with Debbie Regan Locations, a local company which has used many a site in our fair city to do commercials, films, TV, videos and print shoots.

After a morning of filming on West Island, the crew headed for Robert M. Finley Middle School, temporarily renamed Water Haven High School. This reporter was lucky enough to catch up with Mr. D’Onofrio and was given the screen name “Scoop” by the actor. He also suggested Scoop “get out her pad and pen” to take notes on the “inside scoop” of what the afternoon held. “First,” he said, “I’m going to change my clothes. Then we’re going to rehearse.” It’s a direct quote.

After all the real-life middle schoolers had gone home, the crew got down to work on a scene with a cast of high school-aged extras and regular cast members.

According to Alex Galvez, a location assistant for the program, the episode called Siren Call, will be the fifth episode of the 2006 season, the sixth season of the show, and is scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 3 although the date of airing may change. TV fans understand that.

So tune in on Tuesday nights to NBC Channel 4, at 9 p.m. starting October 3 to see Glen Cove ready for her close up. You’ll recognize her when you see her.

Now, minus the fact that I absolutely hate the chick who wrote this article because of how phony she is (went to school with the whore), the article is true. I have a few ‘behind the scenes’ pictures but my scanner isn’t hooked up at the moment. The cool thing is that a few of the extras for the show came right out of the drama class of the actual GC High School (which is located about a half mile up the road from the middle school).

I haven’t seen the middle school in a good 8 or so years so it’ll be interesting to see how a few of the hallways have changed. I know they’ve moved some things around for filming but I’m also positive that a few of the ‘key aspects’ of the school (that are usually the first thing to hit you in the face when you walk in the door) will still be there. I’m excited for more than one reason of course.

This isn’t the first time the Law & Order series has shown itself in town. A few years back an episode of SVU was filmed here. There was also mention of Glen Cove in Law & Order, SVU and CI in past episodes as well…nifty right?

I haven’t watched the newer episodes of CI in a while because my Tuesday nights are wrapped up in Nip/Tuck lately and I’d completely forgotten that CI is on at 9pm and not 10pm so I’ll be able to get all of my shows in without conflicting schedules. W00t!

There will be a new layout up within the next 8 hours, once it turns midnight here on the island the theme will change over automatically to my October theme.

For now, I’m going to head back to cleaning up my room. I’m going to be taking my AC out today so I need to take a few boxes out of my closet so that it can fit back in there…heh.
